What will you learn?

All newer vehicles use some or many ADAS systems, which belong to car safety systems, so their proper functioning is of utmost importance.

Why is this important?

The failure or improper operation of any of the ADAS systems directly affects safety, therefore understanding the operation of the system, knowing the components and influencing factors is very important. Correct diagnostics, recognition of the need for recalibration and properly performed system calibration are essential needs.

How will this training improve your work?

After the training you will be able to diagnose the problem, perform appropriate system diagnostics, recognize the need for calibration and perform static or dynamic system calibration

Training content

The training covered various ADAS systems, as well as the principle of operation of all sensors on which the operation of the system depends. Calibration of various systems on the vehicle, step by step with an understanding of the process and possible problems.

Theoretical part (30%)

– Division of ADAS system
– Passive and active ADAS systems
– Systems using ultrasonic sensors
– Sensor operation principle, system operation principle (PAS, PMA…)
– Systems using radars
– Principle of radar operation, types and construction
– Principle of system operation (Blind spot, cross traffic, front/rear collision, ACC…)
– Systems using cameras
– Principle of camera operation, types and construction
– Principle of system operation (LKA, ACC, Blind Spot, 360°, FCW, adaptive lights, Sign recognition, night camera…)
– Systems using Lidar sensors

Practical part (70%)

– Testing and diagnostics of systems with ultrasonic sensors
– Static and dynamic radar calibration
– Parameters and influential sizes of the radar system
– Static and dynamic camera calibration
– Parameters and influential sizes of the camera system
