Why is this important?
When we talk about safety systems on a vehicle, we must also know passive systems in addition to active systems! Passive safety systems refer to: airbags, belts, belt pretensioners, seats and head restraints.
How will this training improve your work?
Working with pyrotechnic devices, such as airbags, can be very dangerous. Improper handling can even lead to fatal consequences. Are you sure that your knowledge of the system is good enough or are you still gambling with your safety and that of your clients?
Training content
Work on airbags with all safety measures. Diagnostics of components and wiring, simulation of operation and activation of airbags and tensioners under different conditions.
Theoretical part (30%)
– Identification of components of passive security systems, correct and safe work with them.
Practical part (70%)
– Working principle and components of the belt tensioner;
– Principle of operation of different types of airbags;
– Input and output signals of the airbag control unit;
– Identification of errors in the system of airbags and tensioners;
– Diagnostics and isolation of malfunctions in the airbag system;
– Safe operation and system diagnostics;
– Use of appropriate tools and what measurements can be made.
